A 52-year-old Sayreville man remains in critical condition following a motorcycle crash Sunday afternoon on Point Mountain Road in Lebanon Township, according to authorities.
Police said they received a 911 call at approximately 3:13 p.m. reporting a motorcyclist down in the roadway. Responding officers and witnesses located the rider, identified as Clinton Dubhorn, unconscious but breathing at the scene.
Officers administered emergency medical care to Dubhorn until paramedics arrived and took over treatment, authorities said. Given the severity of his injuries, Dubhorn was airlifted to Morristown Medical Center, a Level I trauma center, for further treatment.
His current condition has not been publicly updated since the crash.
Authorities have not released details about what led to the crash, including whether other vehicles were involved or what role road or weather conditions may have played. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is ongoing.
Point Mountain Road is a winding, rural roadway that passes through wooded sections of Lebanon Township, an area known among local riders for scenic but sometimes challenging conditions. It was not immediately clear whether road geometry or any other factor contributed to the crash.
Local police have not indicated whether charges are anticipated or whether the case will be referred to county investigators. As is standard procedure in serious-injury crashes, authorities are expected to conduct a full reconstruction of the incident.
Anyone with information about the crash, including potential witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, is asked to contact local authorities.
This is a developing story, and further updates will be provided as new information becomes available from law enforcement.
