Post Office Worker, 25, Dies After Fiery Early-Morning Crash Into Vineland Business

A 25-year-old Vineland woman died after her car lost control, slammed into a local entertainment business, and erupted in flames in the early morning hours of June 29, authorities confirmed Sunday.

Jewelyn Bruce was behind the wheel of a gray 2026 Kia K5, traveling north on South Delsea Drive, when she failed to maintain her lane near LaTorre Hardware at 1607 S. Delsea Drive at approximately 2:17 a.m. The vehicle struck a curb, briefly veered onto the hardware store property, then returned to the roadway.

Moments later, the car entered a yaw, lost control entirely, and plowed into the Bob Morgan Entertainment property at 1554 S. Delsea Drive — crashing directly into the building. The Kia came to rest in the parking lot, where it became fully engulfed in flames.

Bruce, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Vineland police publicly identified Bruce as the driver on Sunday, July 5 — more than a week after the deadly crash.

Those who knew her remembered a dedicated young woman with a strong work ethic. Bruce had spent the past three years serving the community as a postal clerk at the Elmer Post Office with the United States Postal Service. She had previously worked for both Amazon and UPS.

She is survived by her father, John A. Bruce Jr.; stepmother, Jillian Rodriguez; sisters Kaylin and Isabella Bruce; step-siblings Marili, Sebastian, Jayvian, and Jayla; her grandmother, Judy Calloway; and many other relatives and friends.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Vineland police have not yet released details on whether speed, impairment, or a mechanical issue played a role in the fatal collision.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the Vineland Police Department.
