HOUSTON, Texas — A man was found dead Thursday morning in a vacant field in northeast Houston, prompting a response from law enforcement and leaving the surrounding community with unsettling questions.

Officers arrived at the scene after receiving a call reporting a male body lying in an open field near the intersection of Denmark Street and Lavender Street, located in the Trinity/Houston Gardens neighborhood. The discovery was made in the early morning hours, according to authorities.
