Houston, Texas — Houston police are asking the public for help locating a man wanted for questioning after a fatal stabbing left another man dead inside a Cullen Boulevard apartment last month.
According to the Houston Police Department, officers were dispatched to conduct a welfare check at an apartment located at 10010 Cullen Boulevard around 3:45 p.m. on May 6. Upon arrival, officers discovered 44-year-old Marcus Magee unresponsive inside the unit, suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound. Magee was pronounced dead at the scene by responding personnel.
The case was turned over to HPD’s Homicide Division, where Detectives A. Garcia and G. Herrera took the lead on the investigation. Through the course of their inquiry, detectives identified 35-year-old Larry Dennis as a person of interest in the case. Investigators say they want to speak with Dennis to determine what information, if any, he may have regarding the circumstances surrounding Magee’s death.
Police have not released additional details about the relationship between Dennis and Magee, nor have they disclosed a possible motive behind the stabbing. The investigation remains active and ongoing as detectives continue gathering evidence and following leads.
