This mom asked a drone company one small favor for her blind daughter — what happened next will stay with you

FORT WORTH, Texas — Most kids count down the days to the 4th of July for the fireworks. For 10-year-old Paesyn Stallcup, it was always a little different.

Paesyn is visually impaired. While families around her lit up with excitement at every burst in the sky, she was left trying to piece together what everyone else was seeing.

“She’s usually kind of bored at fireworks shows,” said her mom, Krissy Burke. “So I thought, maybe I can give her something so she can understand what we’re all seeing.”

A Mom’s Simple Request

This year, as the North Tarrant Chamber Family Fireworks and Drone Show approached, Burke decided to try something.

She contacted Sky Elements Drone Shows directly — not with a big ask, just a hopeful one.

She wanted still images of the drone sequences planned for the show. That way, Paesyn could touch and feel the printed shapes before the show started, giving her a way to connect with what hundreds of other families would be watching in the sky.

“Honestly, I didn’t have any expectations,” Burke said. “I was just hopeful that they would send a few images so it could be more accessible for her.”

The Company Came Through

Sky Elements did not ignore the email.

The company responded — and what they sent back gave Paesyn something she rarely gets at public events: a real way to be part of the experience.

Paesyn, a self-described K-pop Demon Hunters fan, was ready for the night. When asked about her favorite artist before the show, she immediately broke into song.

For Burke, that moment — her daughter excited, prepared, and included — was everything.

Why This Moment Matters

Across North Texas, families gathered for the holiday weekend. But for this one family, the night was about more than a celebration.

It was about a company that said yes to a simple request and a little girl who finally got to enjoy the show like everyone else.
