At 5:00 p.m. on Saturday the 15, our Sultana High School Varsity Boys Soccer team faced Ayala Highschool for their second California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) game. After a well-fought game with a 3:1 victory, the soccer players shared their thoughts.
“We feel great, getting our spot that we want to be at, and soon lead to a ring. We are involved in the best of the best and want to declare why we deserve that title.” said junior, Nathaniel Guzman.
Driven by high expectations, our soccer boys are nothing but ambitious about winning. “We feel proud but not satisfied, we have to win more.” expresses junior, Chris Echeverria.
“Preparing our best mentally and physically for a deep run in the playoffs. Nothing changes we take it game by game.” said Varsity Head Coach, Michael Zamora.
Our Sultan spirit is another motive to encourage our varsity soccer boys to reach their best performance. “I feel Sultana’s crowd gives us more confidence to play better and show other teams we deserve to be here.” expresses junior, Paulino Acosta-Arellano.
At this rate, a bright future awaits for our Sultana boys soccer players.
