Sultana fell short of the victory over the St. Francis Golden Knights on Friday, September 15th.
In the first quarter, St. Francis made a pass for a touchdown at (7:04), St. Francis scored a touchdown, making the score 7 to 0, Sultana turned possession over on downs at (7:12), SFSH rushing touchdown 13 to 0 (7:16), SFHS scored a touchdown, making the score 14 to 0, SFHS intercepts SHS pass (7:27).

In the second quarter, rushing touchdown by SFHS 20 to 0, SFHS made a point 21 to 0 (7:34), SHS turned the possession down and SFHS had the ball 21 to 0 (7:41), rushing touchdown by SFHS 28 to 0 (7:44), SHS completed a pass for a touchdown 28 to 6, SHS recovered a fumble by Sfhs (7:56), SHS’s Jacob Higgs pass completed to Joey Deleon for a touchdown 28 to 13 (8:01), SHS missed a touchdown (8:02), SFHS completed a pass for a touchdown 34 to 13 (8:07).

In the third quarter, SFHS rushed a touchdown 41 to 13 (9:23), SFHS scored a touchdown, making the score 42 to 12 (9:24).

Before the game, defensive tackle Carl Marek said, “Running plays are one of our weaknesses and tackling is one of our best.” Marek says to become a better player, have a hard-working mentality and go to the gym. Marek believes, “The most important positions are o line and d line.”
Outside linebacker Ryan Collins said, “We were struggling on our 1 on 1 tackling but come next Friday and we’ll be ready. We will come into the game better prepared mentally and more disciplined.” Ryan also explained, “ The hardest part about the games was their quarterback, he was a very good scrambler,” and “ there was nothing that could have made us play better because I always put my best foot forward as well as my team.”
