Becoming a freshman comes with a lot of responsibilities and expectations. It can be scary, you are going to a new and different school. With a new layout, many struggle to find where their classes are, it is really nerve wracking and hectic but there are ways to ease the stress.
I really recommend keeping up with assignments, it will benefit you in the future to manage good grades that will look good on your transcript. If you do not it can tank your grade down by a lot, and can become a habit. Since this is your first year you want to make sure you are on the right track. Make healthy habits, like turning in assignments on time.
Try to not get in so much drama, it can really ruin your mood and your year if you get too distracted. Drama is sometimes just unavoidable, but you have to be mature about it and solve problems maturely. Sometimes drama can lead to fighting, physically. That is really immature and just does not solve anything. Fights also go on your record and can ruin your chances of getting accepted to a good college in the future, if you’re planning on going. It can even lower your acceptance into jobs if it is on your record.
Pick your friends wisely, you wanna make sure to be friends with good and genuine people. Do not make friends with the wrong people, sometimes their actions can rub off on you. If your friends with good intentions then their actions will rub off on you, it really goes both ways.
That is all the advice I’m able to offer based on my freshman experience. I wish you luck as an incoming freshman! I hope you’ll enjoy your new school as much as I did when I first arrived.
