Advanced Placement (AP) exams are here! Our AP students are strongly encouraged to take these exams. AP exams provide several advantages, including the opportunity to earn college credit without stepping foot on a college campus, as long as you pass the AP subject exams. This can potentially allow you to skip introductory classes, saving tuition money and helping you graduate faster in college.
These exams take place today, Monday, May 5, and run for two weeks, ending on May 16. The College Board schedules each test with a specific date and time to maintain test integrity across the country.
A strong AP exam score demonstrates to colleges that the student is capable of handling arduous coursework. A strong score showcases a students dauntless in facing challenges and that they are committed to academic excellence.
Mark Nakata, Head Counselor heavily advises all AP students to, “Continue studying the items provided by their AP teacher and utilize ‘My Classroom’ through the AP Classroom website.” It is encouraged to all students to review notes regularly, take practice exams, form study groups, and ask for help when you need it to ensure best results on these annual AP exams.
Ultimately, success on AP exams hinges on thorough preparation and having the right tools. Take advantage of resources like “My Classroom,” and review notes. Make sure you know what time and where your test(s) will take place. Remember to bring your chromebook, charger, calculator, and snack. Good luck to all Sultana AP Students.
