Both Drama and Art clubs have big plans for the school year. Following some of these plans, the Sultana High School Drama Club has two shows in mind for the school year. One of the first shows coming up is known as “Left to Our Own Devices” which tackles the perspective of disconnection and evils of Social Media. In addition, the initial cast is expected to be about 14 people. In the cast four of them are the main characters and the 6 are in the cast/crew working the set. The dates of the performances are expected to be on the last week of September which are listed as the following:
Last week of September
Thursday – 26
Friday – 27 ($3 For ASB)
Saturday – 28
Tickets are $5 @ the door.
(THESE DATES CAN CHANGE)
The Sultana Art Club is looking for new members to push and complete their goals further. The club officers were elected two weeks prior on the first two days of school. The Sultana Art Club allows new students to join this club during lunch. After-school meetings started to take place in September. The art club this year is also pushing to do more community service than last year.
They are looking forward to doing more murals around the community starting with being able to paint a few murals at the Hesperia Animal Shelter. Working with the band teacher at Ranchero Middle School on murals and more are to be expected on campus. Fortunately, the Sultana Art Club has raised enough funds to have a few field trips to get a bus and the goal is to visit one or possibly two Art Museums.
