In 2009, Jake Parker created the Inktober challenge as a way to develop his drawing habits, and to improve his artistic abilities. Now, artists all around the world participate in this challenge, uncluding Mrs. Rojas’ Art II course here at Sultana High School.
The Inktober drawing challenge consists of drawing one picture in ink for every day of October. I chose to have a theme for my take on the challenge. For every day of October, I chose to draw a mythical creature. I have always wanted to create fantasy art, and I figured that Inktober would be the perfect opportunity to practice, and improve my skills, and it has!
